When working on the fuel system, the following rules must be strictly observed:
- Thoroughly clean connection points and surrounding areas before removing hoses.
- Place the removed parts on a clean surface and cover them with clean foil or paper. Do not use rags that leave fibers for this. Cover open parts with rags or plugs if repairs are to be carried out later.
- Install only clean parts.
- Remove spare parts from the packaging immediately before installation.
- Do not use parts that have been left unpacked for a long time (e.g. in boxes in the workshop).
- If the fuel system is open, do not work with compressed air. If possible, do not move the vehicle.
Attention! Be sure to ensure good ventilation of the workplace, fuel vapors are poisonous. Avoid skin contact with fuel. Fuel is flammable, so do not use open flames. Dirty fuel must not be disposed of as special waste.
