Clutch test

Due to the fact that Ford-Mondeo models are not equipped with automatic clutch adjustment, the clutch clearance must be adjusted after every repair and at every inspection.



Fully depress the clutch pedal and note the distance between the center of the clutch pedal and the right corner of the floor mat (first size).

Release the pedal, leave the ruler in the same place. Move the ruler to the center of the clutch pedal, read and record the distance (second size).

The difference between the two values should be 140-150 mm. Otherwise, adjust the clutch rod.
