Replacing the outside handle and front door lock

You will need: keys «for 8», TORX T20, TORX T40, flat and Phillips screwdrivers.



1. Turn out the screw of fastening of facing of the switch of the lock …



2.... and remove the lining by gently prying it with a screwdriver.



3. Move the outer handle back..



4.... and remove the handle, disengaging its leash from the lock lever, and the front latch from the door amplifier.

5. Remove the front door power window base (see «Replacing the power window of the front door»).



6. Turn out a stud bolt of fastening of the lock of a door to the external panel of a door …



7.... Remove the three screws securing the door lock from the rear end of the door..



8.... and remove the lock from the door.

9. Install the front door lock and all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.

Note. If necessary, adjust the clarity of the lock by moving the latch in a vertical or horizontal direction, loosening its tightening.
