Replacing the outside handle and tailgate lock

You will need: Flat and Phillips screwdrivers, wrench «for 8».



1. Turn out the screw of fastening of an overlay of the external handle …



2....carefully pry the trim with a screwdriver..



3.... and remove the handle facing.



4. Slide the outer handle back and remove it by disengaging its leash from the lock lever and the front latch from the door reinforcement.


5. Remove the rear door power window base (see «Replacing the power window rear door»).



6. Turn out a stud bolt of fastening of the lock of a door to the external panel of a door …



7.... Remove the three screws securing the door lock from the rear end of the door..



8....squeeze the plastic tabs..




9.... and remove the lock from the door.

10. For removal of a latch of the lock of a back door turn out two screws of its fastening to a rack of a body and remove a latch.

11. Establish the lock of a back door and all removed details in an order, the return to removal.

Note. If necessary, adjust the clarity of the lock by moving the latch in a vertical or horizontal direction, loosening its tightening.
