Electronic control unit for additional passive safety system

You will need: all the tools needed to remove the field tunnel lining, plus a socket head «on 10».

1. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.

2. Remove the lining of the floor tunnel (see «Removal and installation of floor tunnel lining»).



3. Press with your finger on the lock of the black block of the wiring harness of the control unit of the additional passive safety system..



4.... and disconnect the block from the block.



5. Similarly disconnect from the block a white block of a plait of wires.

Note. Remember or write down the location of the wiring harness pads so that when reinstalling, connect them to the same sockets in the unit.

6. Unscrew the three nuts securing the control unit to the base of the body..



7.... and remove the block.

Note. Pay attention to the marking of the control unit; for replacement, purchase a unit with the same marking.

Note. The control unit can only be installed on the vehicle in one position. However, for control, an arrow is applied on its label (see photo), which should be directed forward in the direction of travel of the vehicle.

8. Establish the electronic control unit of system of passive safety and all removed details in an order, the return to removal.
