Replacing the front seat belt

Note. Replacing the front seat belts is shown using the driver's seat belt as an example. The front passenger seat belt is replaced in the same way.

You will need a TORX T50 key.

1. The seat belts are equipped with pretensioners, so disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.

Attention! After disconnecting the wire from the terminal «minus» battery, you must wait at least 10 minutes, only after that you can proceed to remove the seat belt equipped with a pretensioner.

Attention! Dismantling of belt tensioners is prohibited.

Attention! Do not allow belt buckles with pretensioners to fall and get water and oil into them.

Attention! Do not expose belt pretensioners to temperatures above 95°C.

2. Disconnect from the central rack the top part of its facing (see «Removal and installation of facings of salon») and pass the tongue of the seat belt buckle through its hole.



3. Turn out a bolt of the lower fastening of a seat belt.

Note. There is a spacer on the bolt, do not lose it.

4. Pass the lower branch of the belt into the hole in the upper part of the facing of the B-pillar and remove the upper part of the facing.



5. Remove the bottom part of facing of an average rack …



6.... and the front part of the sill lining (see «Removal and installation of facings of salon»).




7. Turn the belt guide clockwise..



8....slide the guide down..



9.... and disconnect the guide from the body pillar.



10. Remove the guide from the belt.




11. Turn out a bolt of the top fastening of a belt and disconnect a buckle of a belt from a cage of site of adjustment of provision of a belt on height.

Note. There is a flat washer on the bolt, do not lose it.

12. Turn out two bolts of fastening of knot for adjustment of position of a belt on height …




13.... and remove the assembly for adjustment.



14. Turn out a bolt of fastening of an inertial coil..



15.... and remove the coil from the body pillar.



16. To remove the front seat belt buckle, you must remove the seat from the car (see «Removal and installation of a forward seat»), since with the seat installed there is no access to the pretensioner harness block.



17. Disconnect from an arm on the basis of a seat block of a plait of wires of a pretensioner.



18. Turn out a bolt of fastening of the lock of a seat belt to a seat and remove the lock.

19. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
