Removal and installation of a shock-absorber rack

You will need: keys «on 10», «at 13», «at 15», chisel, hammer.

1. Brake the vehicle with the parking brake and set the wheel chocks («shoes») under the rear wheels.

Note. The shock strut is usually removed for repair or replacement..

Note.... therefore, before removing the strut with the vehicle on the ground, loosen the nut securing the upper strut support.

2. Remove the wheel.



3. Pry with a screwdriver..



4.... remove the locking bracket..




5.... and remove the brake hose from the bracket on the shock absorber.



6. Disconnect from an arm of a shock-absorber rack the top hinge of a rack of the stabilizer (see «Replacing the anti-roll bar of the front suspension»).



7. Turn out a bolt of terminal connection of a rotary fist of fastening of a shock-absorber rack.




8. Use a chisel and hammer to pry out the terminal connection.



9. Turn away three nuts..



10.... remove the rack from the terminal connection of the steering knuckle and remove the shock absorber strut.

Note. Do not over-tighten the brake hose so as not to damage it.

11. Establish a shock-absorber rack in an order, the return to removal.
