1. Brake the vehicle with the parking brake and set the wheel chocks («shoes») under the rear wheels. Raise the front of the vehicle with a jack and place it on stands. Remove the wheel.
2. While holding the hinge pin from turning, unscrew the nut securing the hinge to the front suspension strut bracket..
3.... and remove the wheel speed sensor wire bracket.
4. Disconnect the upper stabilizer link from the front suspension strut bracket.
5. Similarly, unscrew the nut securing the pin of the lower hinge of the strut to the stabilizer bar, separate the strut hinge and the bar..
6.... and remove the anti-roll bar.
7. To replace the anti-roll bar and its pads, remove the front suspension cross member (see «Removal and installation of a cross-beam of a forward suspension bracket»).
8. Turn out two bolts of fastening of the left bracket …
9.... remove the bracket..
10.... and remove the split cushion of the anti-roll bar.
11. Similarly, disassemble the right side of the stabilizer bar attachment to the cross member..
12.... and remove the anti-roll bar.
13. Carefully inspect the stabilizer bar. Replace the deformed rod.
14. Inspect the boom pads. Worn, mechanically damaged or signs of aging, replace the stabilizer bar cushions with new ones.
15. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal; tighten bolts and nuts to the torque specified in Appendix 1.
16. Bleed the power steering system (see «Bleeding the power steering system»).
Note. After replacing the parts of the anti-roll bar, check and, if necessary, adjust the wheel alignment. Use the services of workshops with special equipment.
