Replacing the rear hub bearing

You will need: a circlip plier, a hammer, a mandrel of a suitable diameter.



1. Remove the brake drum (see «Removal and installation of a brake drum»).



2. Gently prying with a screwdriver, remove the anti-lock brake sensor ring.

3. Remove retaining ring..



4.... and press out the wheel bearing.

5. Clean the inner cavity of the hub and lubricate it with Litol-24 bearing grease or its imported analogue.

6. Press the new bearing into the hub.

Attention! When pressing in, force must be applied to the outer ring of the bearing, otherwise the bearing may be damaged.


7. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the hub fastening nut to a torque of 235 Nm (23.5 kgf·m).
