Electronic anti-theft remote control system

Ford Fusion vehicles are equipped with an electronic anti-theft remote control system, which includes the following functions:

• remote blocking (unlocking) door locks with simultaneous activation (shutdown) car security mode;
• blocking the locks of all doors by turning the key in the lock of the driver's door;
• locking or unlocking all doors by pressing the control button in the car;
• activation of sound and light alarms when the state of the car's security zones changes;
• turning on the sound and light alarm remotely or after turning on the ignition with a key;
• blocking the engine start.

When armed, the system monitors the following zones:

• car doors;
• hood;
• tailgate;
• switch (lock) ignition;
• driver's door lock;
• battery voltage.

The system turns on the alarm (flashing direction indicators and turning on the horn for 30 seconds) in the following cases:

• opening car doors, hood or tailgate;
• turning on the ignition by strangers (untrained) key;
• unlocking the driver's door;
• connecting the battery after disconnecting it.
