Removal and installation of the remote control of the audio system

Depending on the configuration, remote control panels of various types can be installed on Ford Fusion cars.

You will need a flat blade screwdriver.

1. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.



2. Remove the upper part of the steering column cover (see «Removal and installation of casings of a steering column»).



3. Prying off the latch with a screwdriver (steering wheel removed for clarity) …





4.... remove the remote.

5. Disconnect the wiring harness block from the control panel output and remove the panel.

6. Install the audio remote control in reverse order.
