Shock absorber
A faulty shock absorber can be identified by the following signs:
- rocking of the car when driving on a road with periodic bumps;
- undamped body vibrations when driving on rough roads;
- strong inclinations of the car during acceleration and braking;
- the presence of knocks when the car is moving;
- insufficient grip of the car wheel, especially when cornering.
Checking the condition of the shock absorber is carried out on the stand, however, approximately the state of the shock absorber can be determined by pulling and pushing the shock absorber rod. In this case, the force over the entire length of the shock absorber rod stroke should be uniform and the same, without extraneous noise.
