Specifications of the front suspension

            0

The front suspension is independent, Mac Pherson type. It consists of two suspension struts, two lower transverse arms and a transverse stabilizer, the ends of which also act as reaction arms. Each strut contains a coil spring coaxial with a telescopic shock absorber.

Toe-in is the distance between the front and rear of the front wheels. This angle is usually positive, because due to the angle of the wheel (collapse) and rolling resistance, the wheels tend to turn outward.

Wheel angle and caster angle reduce the transmission of shock and vibration from road irregularities to the steering. Tire angle is the angle at which the wheel deviates from the vertical plane. Pitch angle is the angle at which the front suspension strut is tilted, which has a significant effect when driving in a straight line.

Shock absorbers

Double-acting hydraulic telescopic shock absorbers form the lower part of the suspension struts.

Brand: Motorcraft.

Stabilizer

The transverse stabilizer is connected in the middle part to the body with two bushings. The stabilizer arms are connected to the lower wishbones with self-locking nuts.

Stabilizer arm diameter: 27mm.

Front wheel hubs

Each hub is located on two tapered bearings installed with an interference fit.
