Electronic control units

Electronic control units perform the same functions as relays, but can accept more commands and perform more tasks. They are electronic, not electromechanical.

The main electronic control units are EEC IV modules (models with fuel injection system) and control ABS. They are located under the glove box on the passenger side and are accessible after removing the trim under the instrument panel.

The health of the unit at home can be determined by replacing it with a known-good unit. However, it is too expensive to use the trial and error method, therefore, in case of problems, it is necessary to consult a competent specialist at the initial stage.
