The direction indicator system consists of an electronic interrupter unit, a switch for external and control lights and wires. The light alarm system is powered by the same breaker electronics.
If the direction indicators are flashing too fast or too slow on only one side of the vehicle, check the bulbs and wires on that side. The flashing speed can be affected by installed bulbs of inappropriate power, oxidized contacts in cartridges, or poor ground contact.
If the direction indicators do not work at all, before looking for a malfunction in the electronic breaker unit, check the integrity of the fuse. If the alarm system works, but the direction indicators do not work, then the electronic breaker unit is working.
The breaker electronics is connected to the turn signal switch on the side of the steering wheel. The unit can be disabled after removing the upper casing of the steering column.
