Removal and installation of the generator

Mounting the generator on two bolts

Withdrawal

1. Disconnect the ground wire from the battery, as well as the multi-pin connector at the rear of the generator (after removing the safety clasp).

Attention! At the same time, information in electronic storage devices is erased from memory.

2. Loosen the alternator mounting bolts.

3. Turn the alternator towards the engine and remove the V-belt from the alternator pulley.



4. Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the generator (1 - wire connection, 2 - lower mounting bolts).

Installation

1. Insert the generator, screw in the bolts of its fastening and tighten them by hand.


2. Connect and secure the multi-wire connector at the rear of the generator.



3. Install and tighten V-belt (1 - tensioner bolt, A \u003d 10 mm - belt deflection).



4. Tighten the tension adjustment bolt, then the front bolt (arrow) bottom mount and finally rear bolt (arrow) bottom mount of the generator.

5. Connect ground wire to battery.

6. Check V-belt tension.

7. If necessary, loosen the alternator mounting bolts, tension the V-belt and tighten the bolts again, starting with the preload adjustment bolt, and then the alternator front and rear mounting bolts.
