The following lever positions are possible:
- P - parking. This position should only be set when the vehicle is stopped. The drive wheels are blocked in this position and prevent the vehicle from moving. The handbrake must also be applied. It is forbidden to set the lever to this position when the vehicle is moving;
- R - reverse. This position should only be set when the vehicle is stopped and the engine is idling;
- N - neutral position. This position should be set when starting the engine and running it at idle;
- D - moving forward. Normal driving position. You can move from position D to positions 3, 2 or 1 while driving;
- 3 - the car moves only in the first three gears;
- 2 - movement only in 1 and 2 gears. It is used when driving without a trailer on roads with ascents or descents in the mountains or when driving at speeds up to 40 km / h;
- 1 - movement only in 1st gear. It is used when driving with strong ascents and descents.

Start the engine only when the lever is in N and P.
