WEBER 2V TLD carburetor — design description

            0

Weber 2V TLD carburetor is identical to the carburetor Weber 2V, is installed on DOHC engines, but has the following differences from the Weber 2V carburetor:
  • throttle valve of the secondary chamber is controlled by vacuum;
  • fuel shut-off valve installed;
  • an air damper with electrically heated starting automatics and with vacuum and mechanical opening systems was installed "pull down";
  • Throttle damper dampens abrupt closing of the damper and reduces exhaust toxicity. The pusher is controlled by vacuum from the intake manifold. When the throttle is opened, the vacuum actuates the pushrod, which opens the throttle more than at the idle position. When the throttle closes, the damper slows down the closing of the throttle. This reduces the amount of burnt fuel mixture entering the engine when the damper closes, thus reducing the CO content;
  • there is no stepper motor, and the idle speed is set manually using an adjusting screw.
