Fast idle adjustment (Pierburg)

Idle speed and mixture quality must be adjusted.

1. Warm up the engine to operating temperature.

2. Remove the air filter housing.



3. Start the engine and install the fast idle adjustment screw (indicated by an arrow) to the second highest position of the fast idle cam.

4. Measure engine speed.

5. Remove the seal from the fast idle screw. Turn off the engine and open the throttle, freeing access to the propeller. Turn the screw clockwise to increase the speed or counterclockwise to decrease it. Move the screw to the second highest cam stage and check the engine speed. Repeat the adjustment if necessary.
