Adjusting the choke trigger

The starting device is shown by an arrow.

1. Remove the air filter housing.

2. Unscrew the central bolt securing the coolant chamber and remove the chamber. O-rings are installed under the bolt head and along the perimeter of the chamber.

3. There are marks on the body of the bimetallic spring and the holder of the damper lever. If there are no labels, they must be applied. Unscrew the three screws holding the ring clip and remove the clip and housing.

4. Close the choke completely by turning the choke lever clockwise as far as it will go and fix it in this position with a rubber band.

5. Move the choke lever to the starter vacuum diaphragm assembly. To do this, install the idle speed screw on the upper stage of the cam.

6. Use a drill or a measuring rod to measure the gap between the edge of the air damper and the carburetor wall. The gap should be 3 mm.

7. If necessary, adjust using a 2 mm Allen key.
