Pierburg carburetor assembly

1. The carburetor is assembled in the reverse order of removal, using new gaskets and seals.

2. When installing the bimetallic spring housing, align the marks.

3. To check the choke opening, install the idle screw on the top cam stage. Press the adjusting screw towards the diaphragm and measure the opening of the damper using a drill or measuring rod with a nominal diameter. The gap should be 3 mm. If necessary, adjust using a 2 mm Allen key.

4. After installing the throttle damper of the first chamber, adjust its position in the bracket so that a 2 mm thick feeler gauge enters between the idle speed adjusting screw and the throttle control lever. The damper plunger should just touch the drive arm.

5. Adjust the idle speed and the quality of the mixture, and, if necessary, the fast idle speed.
