Replacement
1. Remove the ground wire from the battery and the air filter housing.
2. Disconnect the diaphragm control rod from the throttle body by moving the bottom of the rod down and twisting its end out of its socket.
3. Unscrew the four screws securing the cover, remove the cover and remove the spring.
4. Carefully remove the diaphragm and control rod from the housing.
5. Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces of the diaphragm body and cover and insert the diaphragm into the body, aligning the holes in the diaphragm with the vacuum cavity in the body.
6. Install the spring and cover, align the holes and secure the cover with screws.
7. Connect the control rod to the throttle valve link.
8. Install the air filter.
9. Connect the battery ground wire.
