Removing the oil pump
1. Drain engine oil.
2. Remove oil pan. For this you should:
- disconnect the ground wire from the battery and remove the air filter;
- remove the upper sheet casing of the radiator and disconnect the two holders of the engine mount;
- support the engine with a hoist (tool 21.060);
- unscrew the bolts and remove the oil pan.
3. Unscrew the plug on the oil pump housing.
4. Unscrew the nut with a plugged hole, remove the washer; unscrew the oil pump mounting bolt and remove it together with the washer.
5. Remove the oil pump from inside the cylinder block.
Oil pump installation
1. Install the oil pump inside the engine block so that the tapered hole in its body is opposite the threaded hole for the mounting bolt.
2. Install the copper washer, tighten the oil pump mounting bolt and plugged nut together with the washer.
3. Measure the width of the gap between the surfaces of the threaded plug and the engine block.
4. Install a washer 0.05–0.10 mm thick to ensure adequate working clearance.
5. Install oil pan.
6. Perform the rest of the steps in reverse order with respect to the process of removing the oil pump.
