Removal and installation of an accelerator pedal

Special tool for loosening the accelerator cable clamps

1. Remove ground wire from battery.

2. Remove the lower instrument panel trim on the driver's side.

3. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the pedal. The cable can be clamped or inserted into a keyhole.

4. Unscrew the two nuts securing the accelerator pedal bracket to the bulkhead.

5. Remove the pedal together with the bracket.

6. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
