2. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the pedal.
3. Remove the cable sheath from the bulkhead and pull the cable into the engine compartment.
4. On engines with a carburetor, remove the air filter.
5. On V6 engines, remove the throttle body cover, which is held on with three screws (indicated by arrows).
6. Disconnect the cable from the throttle lever (indicated by an arrow) on the carburetor or injection module.
7. Remove the cable sheath from the bracket.
8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Adjust the cable by turning the threaded sleeve of the sheath outlet so that a slight slack in the cable is observed when the pedal is released.
