Removal and installation of the throttle position sensor

1. Remove ground wire from battery.



2. Remove connector (2) throttle position sensor (1). On ONS engines, it is located below the idle speed valve, on the reverse side of the intake manifold. On DOHC and V6 engines, it is located under the throttle body.



3. Unscrew the throttle position sensor and remove the sensor from the throttle shaft (mounting bolts are indicated by arrows).

4. It is not recommended to rotate the central part of the sensor against its normal rotation, this may damage the sensor.

5. When installing, align the chamfer on the throttle valve shaft with the chamfer on the center of the sensor.

6. Install the sensor and screw with two screws.

7. Connect the connector to the sensor.
