Withdrawal



1. Remove the negative cable from the battery.

2. Raise and secure the front of the vehicle.

3. Remove the crankcase protection and drain the engine oil.

4. Remove starter.

5. Unscrew the two nuts securing the engine brackets to the supports.

6. Loosen the bolts of the universal joint of the steering shaft, ensuring their mutual mobility.

7. Remove the brake lines from the clips on the front crossbar. Hook the engine onto the hoist and raise it until the weight of the engine is taken up by the hoist.

8. Install the jack under the front beam, remove the bolts of the beam supports and carefully lowering the jack, lower the beam.

9. Unscrew the 23 pan fixing bolts and remove the pan.

10. Remove the oil pan gasket.

Installation



1. Apply sealant to the corners of the seating surfaces of the front and rear seals, and install the seals into the grooves of the rear bearing cap and front crankshaft bearing cap.

2. Apply sealant to the mating surface on the cylinder block, install the sump gasket onto the cylinder block, hooking the ends of the gasket to the bottom of the seals.

3. Install the oil pan and tighten the bolts to the specified torque. Tighten the bolts in a circle with a torque of 1–2 Nm, starting from point A, then with a torque of 6–8 Nm, starting from point B, and finally tighten with a torque of 8–10 Nm after 20 minutes of engine operation.
