Replacement of a forward sealing ring of a cranked shaft

1. Remove toothed belt and crankshaft pulley.

2. To remove the front crankshaft sealing ring, drill two small holes in the ring, screw two self-tapping screws into them and pull out the sealing ring by the heads of the self-tapping screws with pliers.

3. Clean the sealing ring seat.

4. Lubricate the sealing lips of the new sealing ring with fresh engine oil and install it in the seat with the sealing lips facing inwards.

5. An appropriate tubular mandrel must be used to install the O-ring into the seat.

6. Install the cover, crankshaft pulley and toothed belt.
