The removal steps for these engines are essentially the same as for the 2.8 dm3 engines (see subsection 3.3.3). You should pay attention to the following differences.
1. Remove the hoses that are located between the thermostat housing, the water pump and the expansion tank of the cooling system.
2. Remove the heater hoses that are located between the thermostat housing or refrigerant distribution pipe and the oil cooler.
3. Remove the hose from the fuel pressure regulator.
4. Remove the hose from the storage chamber.
5. Remove hose from throttle valve.
6. Remove the hose from the T-piece.
7. Remove the accelerator cable from the control arm and suspension.
8. Remove the right exhaust pipe from the manifold, then remove the starter, oil filter, and remove the left exhaust pipe in the same order.
