Rocker axle assembly
1. Drive out the cylindrical locking pin (indicated by an arrow) on one side of the valve rocker shaft and remove the spring washer.
2. Remove from the axis of the rocker arm and the support of the axis of the rocker arms. Store them in the appropriate order for later installation in their original places. If the rocker arm support cannot be removed, tap it with a soft-faced hammer.
3. Check the valve rocker shaft and rocker arms for wear. If the surface of the rocker arm in contact with the valve stem is significantly worn, the rocker arm should be replaced. Small step wear can be eliminated by fine grinding.
4. Lubricate the parts and install on the corresponding axles of the rocker arms in their original places. Mounted rocker shafts must be positioned with the lubrication holes pointing down towards the cylinder heads. At the same time, pay attention to the location of the notch (arrow) at one end of the rocker axle.
