Removing the hydraulic booster of the rear planetary gear

Removal and installation

1. Install the car above the viewing channel or on a lift.

2. Drain the oil from the gearbox.

3. Carefully remove the gearbox oil sump.

4. Unscrew the power steering cover for the rear planetary gear and remove it together with the gasket.

5. Remove the hydraulic booster piston of the rear planetary gear and, if necessary, replace the sealing ring.

6. Check stem length. The length of the rod corresponds to the distance between the end of the rod adjacent to the band brake and the edge of the groove for the snap ring. If necessary, install the stem of the required length.

7. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
