Removing the release bearing
Noise generated by the release bearing when the clutch is disengaged (clutch pedal pressed), means that the bearing is damaged and needs to be replaced.
Withdrawal
1. Remove gearbox.
2. Disconnect the release bearing from the bottom and top of the clutch release fork (arrow) and remove from the gearbox input shaft.
3. Unscrew the mounting bolt and remove the fork. To remove the clutch release fork (arrow) move it away from the turning point.
Installation
1. Lubricate the sliding surfaces of the clutch release shaft with MoS2 grease.
2. Install the clutch release fork and secure with the bolt.
3. Install the release bearing and secure it to the fork.
4. Install gearbox.
