Disconnecting the clutch cable from the clutch pedal

Withdrawal



1. Place the car above the inspection hole or raise it on a lift.

2. Remove the clutch release fork cover from the clutch housing after removing the spring hook.

3. Move the ratchet stopper away from the gear sector by inserting a suitable block of wood under the clutch pedal.



4. Disconnect the end of the cable from the clutch release forks by moving the end down and then forward.

5. Remove the left part of the upholstery near the pedals.

6. Unhook the cable from the pedal with the toothed sector and move it through the hole between the pedal and the toothed sector.

7. Pull the cable through the hole in the front bulkhead into the engine compartment.


Installation



1. Insert the cable through the hole in the front bulkhead from the side of the engine compartment, pass it between the clutch pedal and the toothed sector and hook its end on this sector.

2. Pull the cable forward to pull it out of the sheath and hook the other end onto the clutch release forks.

3. Attach the rubber boot together with the spring hook to the clutch housing.

4. Remove the wooden block from under the clutch pedal.

5. Reinstall the previously removed upholstery near the pedals.

6. Lower the car.
