The location of the grooves on the hinges

The grooves are shown by arrows.

CV joints cannot be repaired and can only be replaced.

1. Remove the clamps securing the protective covers and remove the covers.

2. Remove the outer retaining ring.

3. Remove the hinges and then the inner circlip.

4. Remove the protective cover from the shaft.

5. Replace worn parts if necessary. Protective covers must be replaced.

6. Fill the joints with 65-85 grams of S-MIC 75 F or SQM-IC 9004 solid lubricant.

7. Install the inner circlip and protective boot.

8. Install the joint on the shaft so that the groove is on the outside.

9. Install the outer retaining ring.

10. Tighten the clamps securing the protective cover.
