1. Using special tools 15.033 and 15.074, remove final drive gear outer bearing outer race from rear axle housing.
2. Fit a new outer bearing race for final drive gear using special tool 15.033.
3. Remove the inner bearing outer race in the same way.
4. Install a new inner bearing outer race with a new 2 mm thick gasket using tool 15.083.
5. Using a suitable puller, remove the inner tapered bearing (inner ring and rollers) from the final drive gear and remove the spacer.
6. Install a new tapered inner bearing along with a new 1mm thick spacer located between the bearing and final drive gear.
7. Lubricate tapered gear bearings with gear oil.
8. Insert gear into crankcase, install spacer and outer tapered bearing on gear.
9. Screw in the bearing nut and tighten it with a 36 mm angled ring wrench and special tool 15.073. While tightening the nut, using the dynamometer 15.041, placed in the adaptation 15.073, the moment of resistance to rotation of the final drive gear should be measured. The bearing fastening nut should be tightened in such a way as to achieve the required moment of resistance to turning the gear.
