Door adjustment (Scorpio I)

For a FORD SCORPIO, the gaps around the perimeter of the doors are not adjustable, since the door hinges are welded. If the gaps around the perimeter are not the same, you should contact the service station for FORD cars. If the door does not close properly, the door locking finger can be adjusted.



Open the door and loosen the two bolts -arrows- securing the locking plate so that the plate can move on it with light tapping.

Close the door slowly and make sure that the locking pin on the plate fits exactly into the notch on the door lock. If necessary, correct the position of the locking pin with light hammer blows.

Open and close the door at least three times carefully.

Tighten the bolts of the locking plate when the door closes and opens easily, while firmly adhering to the body.
