Central locking system (Scorpio II)

The central locking system can be activated from the driver's seat, from the passenger's seat next to the driver and via radio remote control. The locks of the four doors and the luggage compartment lid are equipped with actuator motors, which are controlled by the central locking system module (located on the right side under the dashboard).

The current position of the locks is recorded by sensors. With the help of the central locking system, it is possible to carry out normal and double locking of the doors. In double locking, additional electric motors open the release lever drives from the inside of the doors and the boot lid from the respective locks. In this case, the locks from the inside of the passenger compartment no longer open.

If the central locking system is defective, disconnect the multi-pin connector at the relevant lock and check the supply voltage. If necessary, unscrew the fastening of the electric motor to the lock and check the electric motor. Remove from the lock cylinder and check the position sensor.
