Removal and installation of draft of the lock of a cowl (Scorpio I)

Withdrawal

Remove the 2 screws securing the lower trim of the steering column.



Squeeze both lever arms of the traction handle and unfasten the handle.

Unfasten the rod at the handle and at the counter-support.



Pull the cable from the rubber insert -A- of the front wall into the engine compartment.

Remove the grille, see p. 130.



Remove bolts -A- for bonnet latch and remove latch.

Detach bonnet latch link at counter support -B- and lever -C-.

Remove the hood latch from the vehicle.

Installation

Lay the hood lock rod in the engine compartment.

Attention: When laying the rod, do not sharply bend it.

Hang the rod on the counter-support and on the hood latch lever.

Attach the hood latch and tighten the mounting bolts.

Insert the rod through the hole in the rubber insert in the front wall.

Hang the rod on the anti-support of the rod handle.

Hang the rod on the handle and fix the arms of the lever.

Attach and bolt the lower trim of the steering column.
