Removal and installation of the heater fan switch

On vehicles built since 2/92, the blower switch is located on the same base as the heating control unit, so it must be removed and installed as described in previous chapter.

Up to 1/92

Withdrawal

Disconnect ground wire (-) battery.

Caution: Disconnecting the battery will erase the contents of the electronic memories, such as engine trouble codes or radio codes. Before switching off, also read the instructions in chapter "Removing and installing the battery".

Remove the fan switch knob.



Press together both locking tabs on the blower switch -arrows- and remove the switch.

Disconnect the multi-pin connector of the switch.

Installation

Connect the multi-pin plug connector of the switch.

Insert fan switch.

Install the fan switch rotary knob.

Connect ground wire (-) battery.

If available, set the clock and enter the radio's anti-theft code.
