Removal and installation of the stabilizer (models from 9/94)

Withdrawal

Mark the position of the front wheels on the hubs with paint. Thanks to this, balanced wheels can be installed again in their original position. When loosening the wheel nuts, the car must stand on the site. Raise the front end of the car on jack stands and remove the front wheels.



Loosen the stabilizer link. In this case, first unscrew the nut -2-, and then the nut -1-

Loosen stabilizer clamp mounting bolts and remove stabilizer together with clamps.

Installation

Attach the stabilizer clamps to the rubber supports and tighten the bolts evenly to 80 Nm.

Attention: Make sure that the rubber bushings fit correctly and do not twist.

Tighten the stabilizer link connecting rod to the suspension strut to 80 Nm, then tighten the stabilizer link to 50 Nm.

Attach the front wheels like this. so that the marks applied before removal coincide. Preliminarily, apply a thin layer of grease for rolling bearings to the landing sites of dinners on the wheel hubs. Do not lubricate the threads of the wheel studs. Tighten the wheels with nuts. Lower the vehicle and tighten the wheel nuts crosswise to 100 Nm.
