The battery can be charged using conventional chargers, as well as a fast charger. The charging current should be in the range of 3-25 amps, and the charging voltage should be in the range of 14-15.5 volts.
Charge in a non-residential or well-ventilated area.
If the electrolyte level is too low, e.g. after a long stay in a region with a hot climate, top up the level with distilled water, see section "Maintenance".
If the vehicle will not be driven for more than six weeks, remove the battery and store it in a charged condition. The most favorable temperature for storage is from 0 to +27°C. At this temperature, the battery has the most favorable self-discharge rate. Charge the battery again after 3 months at the latest, otherwise it will become unusable.
Regularly clean the battery poles and rub with Vaseline or BOSCH pole grease.
Charging the battery with a booster charger should only be used in exceptional cases, as the battery is then subjected to a very high current for a short time. Batteries that have been stored for a long time cannot be charged using the booster charger.
Attention: Do not turn on the boost charger without simultaneously starting the engine with the starter.
