Removal and installation of the electric motor of forward screen wipers

Withdrawal

Remove the wiper linkage.



Use an open-ended wrench -B- to press the link -A- off the wiper motor crank.

Loosen the crank fastening to the motor axis.

Remove the 3 motor mounting bolts and remove the motor

Remove cover from motor

Installation

Attention: Before installation, check that the motor is in its original position. To do this, briefly connect the multi-pin connector and connect the battery earth cable. Run the motor for a short time and turn off the wiper switch to bring the motor to its original position.

Put the cover on the motor.

Mount the electric motor, screw in and tighten the 3 mounting bolts to a torque of 5 Nm.

Put the crank on the motor shaft and tighten the fastener to 12 Nm.

Push the drive rod onto the spherical head of the crank and secure with pliers.

Install the windshield wiper linkage.
