Replacing the windshield washer pump and headlight lenses

Windshield washer pump or headlight lenses: open engine compartment hood.

Rear window washer pump: Unscrew the upper plastic screw securing the luggage compartment side trim and remove the side jack.

Prepare a new pump.

Windshield washer pump or headlight lens: Disconnect multi-pin connector of windshield washer pump -D- or headlight lens washer pump -C- respectively (see drawing F-6035).



Rear window washer pump: Disconnect multi-pin connector for rear window washer pump -C- (see drawing F-6036).



Using a screwdriver, press the old pump away from the washer fluid reservoir. Close the hole in the tank with your finger. If necessary, remove the gasket for the old pump. In conclusion, put the new pump with a new seal on the tank opening and press it into the opening.

Connect the washer fluid supply hose to the injectors to the pump.

If necessary, top up the washer fluid in the reservoir.

Check the operation of the washer pump.

Rear window washer pump: Reinstall the side jack, fold up the side trim and secure it with the plastic screw.
