Manual Transmission — Checking the Oil Level

The following materials are required for replacement: Gear oil:

• transmission model N: transmission oil specification FORD ESD М2С175-А.
• gearbox model MT 75: gear oil specification FORD ESD M2C186A.
• four-wheel drive: gear oil specification FORD SQM-2C9008-A.

Examination

Put the car in a horizontal position on the goats.

Check gearbox for leaks.

Rear wheel drive

All wheel drive

Unscrew the filler plug on the gearbox.

Use your finger to check the oil level in the gearbox. The oil level should be at the level of the filler hole, not less than 5 mm from its edge. Top up the oil level if necessary.

Screw in the filler plug and tighten to 40 Nm.

Lower the car.

Note: The manual transmission oil does not need to be changed.
