Checking the dust caps on the tie rod ends

Raise the car on the goats in front.



Light the dust caps on the left and right with a lamp and check for damage, paying attention to the presence of traces of grease on the cuffs and associated parts.

If a damaged cap is found, for safety reasons, replace the corresponding hinge together with the cap. Dirt that has penetrated into the hinge will destroy it.

Check the tightness of the ball joint pin nut and the lock cotter pin, but do not overtighten the nut.

Lower the car.
