Start the engine and let it idle.
Turn on the air conditioning system. Set the fan switch to position 3 of the recirculation mode.
Look through the sight glass -arrow- on the refrigerant manifold: for approx. 10 seconds after switching on the air conditioning compressor, bubble-free refrigerant flow must be observed through the sight glass. If this is not the case, then there is not enough refrigerant in the system and it cannot operate at full capacity.
If, after turning on the air conditioning system, no bubbles are detected, then there is very little or no refrigerant in the system. In this case, switch off the air conditioning system immediately, otherwise the air conditioning compressor may be severely damaged.
Attention: Do not open the air conditioning system. If the refrigerant comes into contact with the skin of the body, it may cause frostbite.
If necessary, replenish the air conditioning system with refrigerant at the service station.
