Faults in the fuel supply

            0

In the event of a fuel failure, check the fuel system (only for vehicles with mechanical fuel pump) in the following sequence:
  • Check if there is fuel in the tank.
  • Disconnect the fuel hose between the fuel pump and the carburetor at the carburetor side and direct it into a suitable container. Switch on the starter for a short time, while the fuel should come out of the hose in a pulsating jet.

Caution: Fire hazard!

If fuel is supplied:
  • Check if there is fuel in the carburetor float chamber. If the float chamber is empty, check the float chamber needle valve for blockage and also check the fuel pump.

If fuel does not come out, then there is a defect or clogging of the accelerator pump / injection pipe.

If no fuel is supplied:
  • Disconnect the fuel line supplying fuel to the pump.
  • If fuel leaks from the fuel line, check the pump for leaks. remove and explore if possible.

If fuel does not flow out, blow out the fuel line, remove the fuel tank and clean it.
