Naturally aspirated and turbocharged diesel engines up to 8/93
The valve drive is carried out from the camshaft crankcase located on the side through the pusher rods and rocker arms. The clearances in the valve drive are adjusted by adjusting bolts located in the rocker arms and must be checked and, if necessary, adjusted as part of maintenance, as well as in the event of noise from the valve area and after engine repair. The injection pump drive of the distribution type is carried out for the same purpose as the camshaft drive.
Turbo diesel engine since 9/93
A distinctive feature of this engine is the presence of four individual cylinder heads. Unlike engines of conventional design, this engine is equipped with "wet" cylinder bushings, which can be replaced individually. Camshaft drive with lower location. Distribution injection pump, oil pump and EGR vacuum pump (OG) through a spur gear. The valve drive is equipped with hydraulic roller tappets. The fuel injection advance angle and the exhaust gas recirculation system are controlled by the engine management system.
