Removing water from the fuel filter
Every 10,000 km of the car, the water accumulated in the fuel filter sump should be drained. The method for removing water from the fuel filter is given in the relevant chapters.
Fuel filter replacement
The fuel filter should be replaced every 40,000 km. After replacing the filter, be sure to remove air from the fuel system.
Bleeding air from the fuel system
1 - filter deaerator,
2 – a bolt of removal of air on the case of the fuel pump
1. Loosen the deaerator (1) on the fuel filter holder.
2. Press the manual fuel pump button (arrows in the picture), until the fuel flowing out from under the deaerator is free of air bubbles.
3. Screw on the deaerator.
4. unscrew the bolt (2) bleed air from the fuel pump housing.
5. Press the manual fuel pump button (arrows in fig. Bleeding air from the fuel system), until the fuel flowing from under the bleed bolt is free of air bubbles.
6. Screw in the bleed screw.
7. Start the engine.
Diesel Engine Air Filter
The air filter element should be replaced every 40,000 km.
The air filter cover is screwed on with four nuts. Replacing the filter element is not difficult.
