Function test

When the clutch pedal is released, clicks may be heard from the automatic gap adjustment mechanism due to wear on the clutch disc linings.

To eliminate this phenomenon, you should:

• check if the clutch pedal moves freely on its axis;
• check whether the clutch control cable is laid correctly and whether it sticks in the sheath; in case of doubt, the clutch cable must be replaced.

Toothed sectors, latches and latch springs

Since 1989, cars have been equipped with a new type of toothed plates, sectors, latches and springs. If any of the above parts are replaced, a new type part must be used. The toothed sector and the latch are supplied in a repair kit.
